Glacier Computer offers a new tough tablet PC. Dubbed as the Everest E4000, the tablet is available in 10-, 12-, and 15-inch sizes. The E4000 comes equipped with either Microsoft XP Pro, XP Embedded, or Linux OS. The rugged tablet features a 1.4GHz Pentium M with 1GB of memory and a 16GB SSD. The 15-inch screen supports 1024 x 768 pixel resolution and 802.11a/b/g. The price ranges from $2,500 to $4,500, depending on the size. [ Engadget ]...

Priced at 330,000 Yen, the low end model that comes equipped with a Core 2 Quad Q9000, 4GB of DDR3 PC3-8500, a 120GB OCZ Apex Series SSD, a Blu-ray drive, an NVidia GeForce 9800M GTX with 1GB of VRAM, and 2GB of Turbo Memory only on the Vista version. The high-end model comes jam packed with a Core 2 Extreme QX9300 CPU, 4GB of DDR3 PC3-8500, a 250GB OCZ Apex Series SSD, a Blu-ray drive, an NVidia GeForce 9800M GTX with 1GB of VRAM, and 2GB of Turbo Memory only on the Vista version. Dubbed as the S130, this netbook offers an Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor with 1GB RAM, 60GB hard drive, GPS module support, DMB functionality, and built-in electronic dictionary (English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean). UMID will soon release its new MID (Mobile Internet Device) M1 in Korea market on February 20. The device comes packed with a 4.8-inch touchscreen display, Intel Atom(1.1Ghz/1.33GHz) processor, 512MB of RAM, a 16GB SSD, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, mini USB 2.0 slot and SD/USIM card slot. Kohjinsha is known for its UMPC / convertible tablet series. The company has teamed up with toy maker Bandai to create a Gachapin and Mukku netbook for kids. The netbook is powered by a 1.6GHz Atom N270 CPU with 160GB HDD, 8.9-inch display (1,024 x 600 resolution), WiFi, a 3-in-1 card reader, a 1.3MP webcam and 1GB of RAM. Heres a good news for people of India, cause the Indian government will soon release their $10 laptop known as the Sakshat, though the price itself has gone up to $20. Unfortunately, theres still no published image of the thing, or information about the screen size, RAM or processor, but from what I heard the system will include 2GB of storage, WiFi, Ethernet and 2 watts of power consumption.
