Toshiba has added two new widescreen laptops to its range with the introduction of Satellite L500 and Satellite L550. Both machines are equipped with a choice of either an Intel Celeron / Pentium / Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon / Turion processor, a 500GB hard drive, a DVD burner, a VGA web camera supporting Toshibas Face Recognition software, an HDMI port, a 4-in-1 Bridge Media slot, two USB 2.0 ports, WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet and an additional eSATA/USB combo port. The main difference is that the L500 only comes with a 15.6-inch HD TruBrite display with 1366 x 768 resolution, meanwhile, the L550 offers a bigger 17.3-inch HD TruBrite display with power saving LED backlight technology, and a resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. Toshiba Korea(www.toshiba.co.kr) today released its 3rd generation premium mini notebook PC 'miniB' which features two-tone design of metallic silver and brilliant brown. Toshibas 12.1-inch Dynabook SS RX2/WAJ is claimed to be the worlds first laptop with a 512GB SSD. The ultra portable notebook features a Core 2 Duo SU9400 CPU with a long 12-hour battery life. Toshiba UK have announced the Mini NB200, the European version of the Toshiba Dynabook UX 10.1-inch netbook. The netbook has a choice of 1.6GHz N270 or 1.66GHz N280 Intel Atom processor, combined with 945GSE graphics, WiFi, Bluetooth, and an optional integrated 3G mobile broadband. There are also a VGA webcam, three USB 2.0 ports, and a 3D accelerometer that will lock down the 160GB hard-drive if the netbook dropped. As standard the Mini NB200 comes with a 3-cell battery that is good for up to four hours of operation time, meanwhile, its optional 9-cell battery provides up to nine hours of operating time. Toshiba just released a new member from its Toshiba UX netbook series. Available in two different colors, the 10-inch netbook comes equipped with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N280 CPU, a 1024600 resolution display with LED backlight, and a 160GB of HDD. The netbook will be sold in Japan from at around $614 to $700, which is more expensive than Acer Aspire One ....

The 18.4-inch Qosmio G50, 15.4-inch F50, 18.4-inch GX, and 15.4-inch FX notebooks are powered by Intel Core2Duo CPUs with either GeForce 9600M GT or Intel GM45 Express, HDMI out, DVD Super Multi, and 4GB of RAM. The high-end Qosmio G50 features 640GB of HDD (2320GB), while the Qosmio F50 only has 320GB of HDD. All of these laptops are DLNA compatible and support Full HD display, and SpursEngine technology that gives ability to encode HD video at the light of speed for either a BLu-Ray video quality or YouTubes HD mode.
